Must Know Information re Laptops

Nunawading Christian College uses Chromebooks as the ICT device for students. All new students to the secondary campus, and students requiring new devices are required to purchase a Chromebook through our portal: https://ncc.orderportal.com.au/.

There are advantages and disadvantages to any student computer device, however, the Chromebook is an educational tool that offers less distractions and higher accountability
measures at a far more affordable price than an Apple Macbook and like devices.

Learning with Technologies (LWT) is the company Nunawading Christian College has partnered with to provide students with their Chromebooks. Instructions for purchase are available on the LWT website (follow above link) including optional accessories, length of warranty and insurance. Please note that the management licence is bundled into the Chromebook price so it appears slightly higher than RRP on other websites where the licence is not included.

It is therefore essential that you purchase through this portal ONLY.

Chromebooks purchased outside of this portal will not be eligible to join the Nunawading Christian College Network.

Computers will be configured to the Nunawading Christian College network and delivered directly to the nominated address.

All NCC students must abide by the Digital Learning Agreement outlined in the Secondary Student Handbook ( pp 27).
