Apply to enrol at NCC Early Learning Centre

Thank you for applying to enrol your child at Nunawading Christian College Early Learning Centre. If you have not already, we strongly advise taking a tour of our ELC and lower Primary School before applying.

Once the application process is complete (including the processing fee), our enrolment officer will be in contact. We do not interview for ELC, but we do meet each applicant before sending out our offers. This is an essential part of the process, and takes place in May and June the year before starting. Around Easter time, the Enrolment Team invites applicants to bring their child to the Centre for this visit. This is also an opportunity for parents to ask further questions, and to see their child in the room and be confident they will be happy there. The Enrolment Team then looks at the required days of those who have attended and sends out the offers. Subsequent applications will go on the waiting list, should places still remain following the first round of offers, or become available later in the year.

Successful applicants will receive an offer of enrolment and be given three weeks to return the completed acceptance and pay the bond, securing their child’s place.

Availability:

2025 is at capacity. Our first round of offers has been sent out for 2026. Please contact the Enrolment team to find out availability. We are now accepting applications for 2027 and beyond.

Please Note:

A non-refundable fee of $100 will be charged per child as part of the application process for ELC. After submitting the application, you can pay by calling the ELC (9877 3555 - Ext 2) to make a Credit Card payment or by direct Bank Transfer.

Once payment is made, the application will then proceed.

The Bond:

The bond of $1000 is held by the Centre for the duration of the enrolment at the ELC and returned after deregistration unless the terms have been broken. Further information can be found in the Parent Handbook.

Continuing to Prep at NCC

While NCC offers Kindy through to Year 12, receiving an offer of enrolment for ELC does not guarantee a place in Prep. Our dedicated Enrolment Team wants to be sure that we are the right school for each student accepted. To this end, our ELC families are reminded to complete a separate application and are kept informed of key dates in the Prep application process. (For the similar reasons, our Year 5 students also go through an interview process for Year 7.)

Determine when is the best time to start ELC

When your child starts at ELC/kindergarten directly relates to the age they will start at Primary School. Wanting the best possible outcomes for our students, NCC believes this can, in part, be achieved by our students being a little older when they start school, if they have a choice. To that end, our policy is that a child must have turned 5 by January 1, the year they start Primary School, rather than by the end of April. Please make note of this as you use the below tool.
