1962 - Present

Our history

Since opening in 1962, Nunawading Christian College has grown and developed in line with our core philosophy of values-based education for the whole child. Our rich history has provided a firm foundation for the growth and development of our College in the future.

For over 50 Years, Nunawading Christian College has provided excellence in Christian coeducational learning. Below is a snapshot of the history, growth and development of Nunawading Christian College since 1964.

Our timeline

1962 – Primary School opened.

1974 – Secondary School opened.

1986 – ‘Images’ magazine commenced.

1989 – Nunawading Adventist College started as a P-12 school after Hawthorn campus students moved to Nunawading.

2000 – School Dedication Nights commenced at the beginning of each year.

2004 – College Entered the Eastern Independent Schools Melbourne Sports association.

2004 – Secured campground land for development of oval.

2005 – Primary & Secondary amalgamated under new name “Nunawading Christian College” and adopted new logo.

2006 – New Art room development.

2009 – New sports & performance centre development.

2011 – New NCC oval development completed.

2015 – Nunawading Early Learning Centre first opened

2018 – New Science and Library building development.

2018 – Nunawading Early Learning Centre Expansion
