A core part of our curriculum at NCC is our innovative student leadership model. We aim to develop leadership skills in students from Year 7 up to Year 12.
School Captains and Vice Captains are chosen after a robust application and interview process. The Captains work as part of a wider leadership team to oversee spiritual, social and fundraising activities at the school.
Student Representative Council
The SRC are made up of two representatives from each year level from years 7-11. Each class votes on one girl and one boy from each year level. The SRC is run by the School Captains and Vice Captains, along with a teacher mentor.
Each house elects their captains and vice captains at the start of the school year. These house leaders are charged with developing team spirit and encouraging participation in sports carnivals and school events.
NCC runs a Peer Support Program for Year 7 students. Each year 7 student is given a Year 11 student to act as a support throughout their duration in high school. Year 11 students have to apply to be part of this process.
Each year, a section of our school leaders apply and are then selected to go on a training course with GRIP- an independent vales driven organisation that trains and develops school leaders.
