There are limited places available for Year 7 at NCC in 2019. It is recommended families apply before September 10 to participate in the Step Up to Secondary program. This program gives students the best chance to meet their classmates and get to know staff before commencing Secondary next year.
Father’s Day at NCC is about acknowledging the important role fathers have in the lives of their children, and encouraging dads to keep up the good work. We started the day with a breakfast of sausage sandwiches, muffins with scrambled eggs, and yogurt with fruit & muesli – feeding more than 100 dads and 150 students! Dads then accompanied their kids into classrooms for some fun activities together, followed by a short chapel service, blessing our fathers with understanding, faith and wisdom. Thank you to the dads & granddads who were able to carve out some time to be present, and for those who were unable to leave work, we bless you too for your commitment to providing for your families. Happy Father’s Day.
Beanies should not be worn in the classrooms and are for outside use. NCC beanies can be purchased from the uniform shop. Other beanies are not suitable. Shoes need to be black polishable lace-ups from Yr 3 and up. Prep – Yr 2 should have black lace-up or velcro polishable shoes. Runners are not suitable as dress uniform shoes, but may be used for sports uniform. Students with shoulder length hair need to have it tied back. It should not be over the face, particularly when working at the desk. The rest of this Term will give time for making sure the correct uniform is ready for Term 4.
Primary students – have you started collecting 5 cent pieces again this Term?!
Don’t forget to collect as many as you can and pop them in your House colour jar in your classroom.
On Friday next week (14 Sept) the House which has raised the most money from 5 cent pieces will have a Casual Clothes day. All the Houses will receive House points according to the amount they raise – so keep on collecting!
