Nunawading Christian College employs dedicated sport and physical development staff in both the primary and secondary to develop and encourage sporting ability and sportsmanship in our students.
NCC Secondary students participate in the weekly Eastern Independent Schools of Melbourne sporting competition. Our students compete against other independent schools sports teams in a variety of team and individual sports including:
- Touch Football
- Table Tennis
- And many more
After school and lunch time training sessions are often arranged by teachers to help students to develop their skills and team dynamics for competition.
Recently, our junior and senior boys touch football teams were EISM premiers in their division. And our EISM senior boys volleyball team were also premiers.
Each year Nunawading Christian College Primary and Secondary hold sporting carnivals for athletics, cross country and swimming (Secondary only). These carnivals are a chance for students to compete against each other and celebrate their sporting house colours.
Following our carnivals, students are selected to represent NCC at EISM carnivals and championships.
Throughout term time, students are encouraged to participate in many sporting activities available on campus including after-school training and development, independent coaching programs and lunch-time competitions such as the Chuang cup, a staff vs students competition held each term.
Each term, selected NCC students participate in sporting competitions against our sister schools, Heritage College, Edinburgh College and Gilson College. Girls and boys participate in many team sports both on campus and at sister school campuses.
