On a very cold, wet and windy Melbourne morning the Year 3/4 class set out to experience a cultural African day at CERES in Brunswick. Despite the cold, students went down to the local creek where they filled their containers and then carried the water on their heads back to the village well. They learnt that in Africa the children finish school then walk up to 50km to collect water each day. Our students then learnt to dance, drum and participated in a wedding celebration.
