NCC NAPLAN Overview
Nunawading Christian College is pleased with the results achieved by our primary and secondary students in 2017.
Outstanding National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) results are a product of direct quality strategic teaching, parent encouragement/support, student effort and focus, comprehensive curriculum, data analysis and ongoing planning. Our results are a testimony of the dedication of our teachers, parents and students who work conscientiously from Prep to Year 12. The NAPLAN test results are just a small-time snapshot of the team effort in Learning and Teaching.
The graphs are a positive reflection of the outstanding results of our Year 3, 5, 7 and 9 students in 2017.
Analysing the data from the graphs it is easy to see that we have a wide range of abilities amongst our students. Our aim is to work with every student in each class. We provide support for students who are experiencing difficulties to extending students who need more of a challenge. Each year we encourage all students to sit the NAPLAN test regardless of ability.
The results reflect that even our weakest students are well above state average and our strongest students are off the NAPLAN scale.
We are thankful for the dedication of our staff, grateful for the support and trust of our parents, and proud of our students’ results.
