100 is a local art exhibition profiling Melbourne’s centenarians through portraits created by skilled young artists. The project is about bringing the community together through inter-generational interactions.

Stephanie and Ashtyn are two NCC students who have been selected to take part in the exhibition and have recently met and sketched their subjects.

Last week, we travelled with Ashtyn as she met her subject Joy Carr for the first time. Joy was full of stories, sharing about old friends, her family and her own personal artwork which now decorates her small unit. Ashtyn completed her first sketch of Joy and will return for a few more visits before completing the final painting.
