Mrs Hanna Stekla is our Secondary Principal at Nunawading Christian College. This week we sat down with Hanna to learn more about why she loves to teach at NCC.

Describe teaching in three words.

Energising, Challenging, Rewarding

What do you love most about teaching?

Seeing ‘aha’ moments when students make connections and celebrating their successes.

What’s special about NCC?

The family atmosphere, the place God has in all we do

What do you learn from your students?

Determination, different perspectives and perceptions

If you weren’t a teacher, what would you be and why?

I can’t imagine doing anything else but I do enjoy my time in the garden so maybe something horticultural. I don’t think it would take long before I would start looking for education opportunities.
