Last week the Year 4 class embarked on a journey back in time to explore what life was like for the early Australians who came from England with the First Fleet. Through hands-on activities, the students gained a better understanding of the difficulties that the early settlers and explorers encountered in everyday life. Some of the highlights for the students were getting dressed up in clothing from the 18th century, pretending to hang onto the mast arm in a big storm, and scrubbing the deck!
