Despite the rain, the thunder and the sudden cold snap, Alphabet Ark went ahead to the delight of many children and parents from east Melbourne. There was no dampening of spirits as excited children rode the feisty ponies, played conductors on the mini train and played with animals in the petting zoo. Adults and children alike sparkled after visiting the face painting station and some very brave children visited with a variety of creepy crawly creatures. A professional photographer ensured that parents received a lasting memento of the fun. Amidst all of the activity there was a chance for parents to relax and enjoy a free morning tea and chat together as their little ones were entertained. Thank you once again to Karen Horsley and her wonderful team of helpers for putting this program together. Also thank you to the generous parents for your delicious morning tea donations. There is a lot of hard work involved but we know that our community and school families really appreciate, and look forward to this program each year.
